Friday 3 March marks the final day of voting for the 2017 Queensland Women in STEM prize. More than 40 talented women in science, technology mathematics and engineering have made their submissions to compete for two cash prizes of $5,000. Let the judging begin!

Many Queensland scientists are at the forefront of breakthroughs and discoveries that make a difference to the wellbeing of individuals and communities locally, nationally and internationally.

In collaboration with the World Science Festival Brisbane, the Queensland Government’s Office of the Queensland Chief Scientist and Office for Women proudly present the 2017 Queensland Women in STEM prize to help continue this trend and encourage innovation.

The 2017 Queensland Women in STEM prize will also identify female STEM professionals who are not only making a positive contribution to their individual field, but are also engaging with and communicating their practice to a broader community.
