Tony Matthews

Dr. Tony Matthews is a Senior Lecturer in Urban and Environmental Planning at Griffith University. His research interests include adapting cities to climate change, the role and function of green infrastructure and the interplay between urban design and environmental outcomes. Dr Matthews is author of numerous international journal papers, research monographs and book chapters. He is an active public writer and commentator in national and international media. Dr Matthews co-developed and co-presented ‘The Urban Squeeze’ on ABC Radio, which ran for two seasons and won three awards for excellence from the Planning Institute of Australia.
