Guy Ritani (ia/they/them) is a proud Takatāpui Maori artist, activist, educator and ecological designer from Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Koata and Ngāti Toa Rangatira descent. They’re the Creative Director at PermaQueer and President of Tamborine Mountain Arts Collective, currently residing on Wangerriburras Country. They work at the intersection of social justice, ecological justice and regenerative design. Focussing on community expressions of culturally appropriate relationships to landscape, working with LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities to design systems, resources and solutions for future collective equity. As we’re inseparable from our landscape, Guy questions through a queer lens: How do we return to our ecological function?
