David Pyle

David works jointly with Queensland Museum Network and QUT as Digital Initiatives Manager and Lecturer. His research projects include QUT’s ScanCave and application of 3D-scanning techniques such as photogrammetry to preservation, display and exhibition of objects, artefacts and specimens in the museum sector.

In addition to digitising QMNS’s vast collections, his role also involves dissemination of content using both immersive displays (VR/AR) and more traditional interactive techniques.

David has also been a professional creative in music, theatre, radio, television and print, and contributed extensively to numerous museums and interpretive centres as a producer of content and senior manager.
