Brit Asmussen

Dr Brit Asmussen is Senior Curator, Archaeology, at Queensland Museum. Brit works with archaeological, cultural and archival collections, working to understand their varied histories and stories. She applies archaeological research methods to animal, mollusc and plant materials in archaeology collections, to learn about the daily activities of people. Brit is a Partner Investigator on the ARC Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage, and a Partner Investigator on the ARC Linkage Project Sugarbags and Shellfish, and also works with Antiquities collections, examining Antiquities collecting during the First World War (in collaboration with the UQ R.D Milns Antiquities Museum).
