Bridget Garay is a Torres Strait Islander woman who has family connections to Mer (Murray Island) on her father’s side and she also acknowledges her mother’s Malaysian heritage.
She is a highly motivated woman who leads a busy life as a business trainer and an Arts and Cultural Consultant. Bridget has worked with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia for over 4 decades with a particular emphasis on the arts and cultural sector, community enterprise and leadership.
She is passionate about maintaining and sharing languages through song and equally passionate about creating community programs to preserve culture and language for future generations.
