World Science Festival Queensland will once again ignite new and challenging discussions about Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) – and the Festival’s education program is especially designed for Queensland school students.

School events are held at the Empire Church Theatre

Bookings

Instructions for booking can be found on the relevant event page.

Events held at the Empire Church Theatre can be booked directly via the Empire Theatre website.

Events held at Blank Space and the museum can be booked via QTIX on the Festival website.

Supervision – Adult/child ratio

Group supervisors are responsible for the supervision of students and children while at the Festival and should remain with their students at all times.

For Bookings over groups of 10, one adult is FREE for every:

  • 3 x Prep aged students
  • 5 x Primary aged students
  • 10 x students in Years 7 to 10
  • 15 x students in Years 11 to 12.

Please note you will need to quote adult numbers when purchasing tickets for bookings over groups of 10.

Lunch and refreshments

You are welcome to bring morning tea or lunch and eat on the grassed area outside the Empire Church Theatre.

Visitors with individual needs

If you require mobility assistance, please contact the Empire Theatre on 1300 655 299 and a staff member will be available to assist.

The museum is wheelchair accessible with disabled toilets. All exhibitions are at ground level and the entire museum is accessible by wheelchair. Contact the museum on (07) 4659 4900 if you require more information.
