In order to deliver oversized building components for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games village, the Port of Brisbane will need to be re-engineered to accommodate larger vessels. This workshop will investigate and plan the widening of a shipping channel to handle a 400m long vessel. Teams will need to consider various costs and project impacts in preparation of pitching their proposed business plan to the Port Management Team shark tank style. This workshop highlights the creative and problem solving aspect of Engineers and the important role Engineers play within our community.
Have your students think outside the box with the hands-on engineering workshop demonstrating they have the power to make an impact within their communities, presented by Power of Engineering.
