Virtual Footprints
Fri 12 March, 2021-Sun 28 March, 2021
City Botanic Gardens

Created by: OrCha From: VIC, Australia

VIRTUAL FOOTPRINTS is a location-based, augmented reality game that allows players to virtually plant, grow and nurture flora in the City Botanic Gardens. The intention is to playfully educate players about native flora and fauna, ultimately to emphasise the importance of caring for the environment.

How players engage or interact with the virtual plants and seeds will impact the overall health of the environment. Making harmful choices, like introducing invasive species, will increase a player’s carbon footprint and the garden will suffer; make positive, mindful choices to lower the carbon footprint score and the garden will thrive.
