Megan Cooper’s music is folksy, vintage, alt country – the sonic equivalent of a fragrant cup of tea with a sneaky shot of something a little stronger. She’s a hip-shaking, wicked whistler, who’s dodgy ankles brought her the long way round, to the music of her river village upbringing.
Addictive melodies accompany awkward stories, and Cooper’s latest album Wild Mountain, confirms that she has an inbuilt affinity with everything that is good in twang.
