Majella Edwards

Majella Edwards is an Olympian (Sydney 2000 Women’s Volleyball) turned tech entrepreneur with over 17 years experience in managing art and historical collections, product design, photomedia and user experience design. Majella has worked at some of Australia’s most prestigious cultural institutions such as the Australian War Memorial, National Gallery of Australia and the National Library of Australia. She founded Sortal in 2017 to tackle the categorisation, interpretation and information management of digital media and memories using AI. Sortal was awarded a 2019 Good Design Award for digital software design.
