Liesel Zink is an award-winning socially-engaged choreographer interested in the relationship between art, science and social-psychology. She creates interdisciplinary performance works in public space and uses her artistic practice can be used as a means for intercultural and intergenerational exchange. As a choreographer and producer, Liesel develops and presents projects around Australia, Asia and Eastern Europe. She received the 2017 Australian Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance for her public space project ‘The Stance’ which has been presented extensively around Australia as well as in South Korea, Hungary and Hong Kong. As a choreographer Liesel has been commissioned to make works for Flowstate, Tasdance, Expressions Dance Company and LINK. She also works as a dramaturge, provocateur, facilitator, producer and facilitator and is an Associate Artist of renowned physical theatre company Force Majeure.
