Kate Jefferay

Kate Jefferay is a crafter, textile artist and craft educator. Through her small business My Aunty Anna she facilitates the creation of community through craft via workshops and communal art projects. Kate’s art practice focuses on reproducing traditional crafts on a large scale, often in unexpected places – such as large weaving looms on the grass or a Knitting Nancy the size of a table. Where possible the materials used are recycled and repurposed – clothing, linen and other items are often donated by participants and supporters, adding to the meaning behind the artworks.
