Cheryl Desha

Cheryl Desha is an Associate Professor and Engagement Director (Industry) in Griffith University’s School of Engineering and Built Environment. She also leads the Digital Earth and Resilient Infrastructure research theme within the Cities Research Institute, offering sustainable solutions to emerging complex problems in the context of Disaster Management.
Building on previous adventures and more than 100 publications in the field, Cheryl is working to enable cities that thrive in the face of uncertainty and unprecedented connectivity. She is passionate about delivering ’21st Century’ graduates, including coordinating a purpose-built new building ‘N79’ on Griffith’s Nathan campus that has just opened.
