Bee One Third

‘Bee One Third – Neighbourhood Honey’ are Brisbane’s urban beekeeping specialists, with over 160 beehives in and around Brisbane’s CBD, pollinating change with every beehive that they manage. Jack and his team of beekeepers utilise unused urban rooftops and land allotments to bring pollinators back to our city, using predominately European beehives and Native social beehives to raise awareness of how important bees are to our ecosystem. One in every three plates of food that we eat is thanks to the pollination effort from bees, a staggering statistic that will have an enormous effect on global food security if we do not protect out pollinators.
