Alex Vanek

Alexander has been interested in the environment from a young age. After studying a bachelor of Environmental Management (Sustainable development) at the University of Queensland, He then pursued his career in environment by joining Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C). His role at B4C as an Environmental and Projects Officer has helped him grow his professional development and expand into other leadership roles. Alex leads the Brisbane intrepid Landcare group which focusses on conservation, bushcare and leadership roles for youth who are interested in environment. in addition to this, Alex was also nominated as the Brisbane Catchments Network president, which is the umbrella corporation for all the catchment groups across Brisbane.
