The Living Lantern
Fri 12 March, 2021-Sun 28 March, 2021
Cultural Precinct

Created by: NEON and Frankie Boyle Studio From: United Kingdom

THE LIVING LANTERN is constantly evolving based on the interaction between wind and light. It has a dynamic, wind responsive outer membrane that opens and closes to filter the light from its core.

Lanterns symbolise the inner light that guides the soul through periods of darkness with the promise of a new day. In light of the devasting effects of Coronavirus, this Curiocity illustrates the responsiveness of humankind and how we are capable of adapting to change and the importance of working together when we face new situations.
