Curiocity Brisbane is an annual temporary public art event held in Brisbane.

Artists were recently invited to submit ideas for artworks that celebrate the intersection of science and art. Applications have now closed.

Curiocity Brisbane will assess a diverse array of artworks varying in scale, budget, content and type of public engagement to curate a journey from Queensland Museum through to South Bank Parklands, Brisbane.

Curiocity Brisbane will feature new commissioned site-specific artwork and existing artwork that has not been exhibited in Queensland before. Curiocity Brisbane is open to all media forms including augmented or virtual reality, sound or kinetic artforms, video, installation, sculpture, performance or 2D media. Base funding from $5,000-$75,000 is available for selected artworks.

Artworks will be open 8am to 8pm daily in public spaces during Curiocity Brisbane from 20 – 31 March 2024.
