Rebecca Ford

Rebecca Ford gained her BSc at Griffith University in Brisbane and her PhD at The University of Melbourne, where she worked her way up the academic ranks. She is currently a Professor and Dean (Research) for the Science Group at Griffith University where she also leads an engaged research team within the Food Futures Platform of the Environmental Futures Research Institute. Her research has attracted >$15M in funding through national competitive and industry grants, and she has mentored >30 PhD students to successful completion and beyond. Many of her trainees now hold senior roles in the agricultural and plant science sector. Rebecca is passionate about developing new tools and knowledge for improving the sustainability and profitability of our broad acre and horticultural cropping systems.
