Peta-Anne Zimmerman

Peta-Anne Zimmerman is an internationally respected clinician and has wide experience as an expert consultant including with the World Health Organization (WHO), AusAID, the Asian Development Bank, the Secretariat of the Pacific Communities, The Albion Centre and as a member of the WHO SARS Response Team. She has also acted as a focal point and senior faculty for the WHO Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network with key roles in the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control.

Peta-Anne directs the Graduate Infection Prevention and Control Program at Griffith University and is a member of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland and Visiting Research Fellow with the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, Australia. Her research focus is infection prevention and control and outbreak response, including novel approaches to the teaching and learning of this discipline, and health education in general, including the use of pop-culture and zombies.
