Martina Clarke

Martina Clarke is a Gold Coast-based oil painter and installation artist. Her practice reimagines the relationship between nature and urban architecture through immersive installations. Artificial rain and grass growing systems are integrated with urban spaces to engage the senses and contrast the separation between built environments and nature. Her oil paintings embrace surrealism as a platform for reforming nature motifs without the limitations of physics.

Martina is a current participant in the Level Up Residency in Coolangatta and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT University in 2018.
