Madeline Fowler

Maddy Fowler is Senior Curator Maritime Archaeology in the Cultures and Histories Program at the Museum of Tropical Queensland, Townsville.

Maddy joined the Queensland Museum Network in January 2017. As an archaeologist with five years of experience working in the university and consultancy sector Maddy’s research has focused on Australia, in particular South Australia. Her wider interests include maritime cultural landscapes in Australia’s historical period and decolonising Australian maritime archaeology through the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in research.
