Linden Ashcroft

Linden Ashcroft is a climate scientist and science communicator from country Victoria who teaches both of these important topics at The University of Melbourne.

Her research uses the past to help us prepare for the future, exploring the climate of Australia using historical documents and weather observations.

Linden communicates science regularly on community radio, edits an international peer-reviewed journal on scientific data, and her writing was selected for the 2019 Best Australian Science Writing Anthology.

She is also a Superstar of STEM, a Science and Technology Australia program that aims to smash society’s assumptions about gender in science.
