Laura Navone

Dr Laura Navone is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at QUT. Her work focuses on the areas of synthetic biology and industrial biotechnology. Laura specialises in enzyme development for industrial applications and strain engineering of protein production platforms. Laura strives to conduct innovative research by applying emerging synthetic biology approaches to solve real-world problems. Her current research aims to understand protein folding and secretion pathways in yeast and develop a molecular toolbox to overcome bottlenecks in expression. Other research areas are the use of enzymes for innovative textile recycling technologies and for the generation of value-added products from waste.
