Dr Joel is a physicist, food nerd, and passionate science communicator! He regularly features on television and stage, from co-hosting Food Lab on SBS Food, to performing science experiments on Scope, to hosting science/comedy shows around Australia. He is especially excited about how science can help us cook better – from delivering the perfect steak to the lightest chocolate mousse. He also works with industry and government on the transition to a clean energy future. In his spare time he teaches dancing, builds butter toast dropping platforms in his workshop, and travels the world – 55 countries and counting!
