Gavin Singleton

Gavin Singleton is a Project Manager at the Dawul Wuru Aboriginal Corporation in Cairns, Australia. He currently coordinates the Yirrganydji Land and Sea Ranger Program and TUMRA project for the Cairns and Port Douglas region in North Queensland. He is also a member on various committees including the Indigenous Reef Advisory Committee for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and has presented at high level events including the United Nations Climate Change Conference (2018), United Nations Oceans Conference SD-14 (2017), and IUCN World Parks Congress (2014).

In 2018, Gavin was selected as a Baton bearer for the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay, was a speaker for TEDx JCU Cairns, and received a Community Champions Cassowary Award from the Queensland Minister for Environment and Science and Wet Tropics Management Authority.
