Bish Marzook is a scientist, writer and comedian – definitely in that order if you ask her parents. She writes for SBS Comedy and SBS Science, appears on FBi and Triple J radio, and co-runs a monthly inclusive comedy night in Sydney. She recently completed a PhD in virology and cell biology, and is looking forward to continuing her study of the microscopic world around (and within) us. She has been fascinated by the intersection of science and storytelling ever since publishing her first peer-reviewed article. Bish has performed at various national writers’ festivals, music festivals and comedy festivals, and hopes to book her first food festival soon.
