The Matrix 1999 M
‘Thomas A. Anderson (Keanu Reeves) lives a dual life: by day a computer programmer and by night a hacker named Neo. He is contacted by legendary hacker Morpheus, who reveals that the world is actually a ravaged wasteland run by a race of machines; and people live within their own minds in an artificial reality known as The Matrix.

Mind Vs Machine: What Makes Us Human?
'Mind vs Machine' celebrates a rich subgenre of science fiction cinema that explores the intertwined relationship of humans and artificial intelligence. It focuses on films that investigate what it means to be human in counterpoint to humanoid technologies and the moral implications of artificial consciousness.
The program has been curated for the World Science Festival Brisbane by QAGOMA’s Australian Cinémathèque.
