Summary

Going to extremes to save the planet.

In 2015 a leadership expert from Melbourne and a marine scientist from Tasmania launched a bold idea – to gather 80 or so female scientists from across the globe and send them to the most isolated and least visited place on Earth… Antarctica.

This dream, dubbed ‘Homeward Bound’, became a reality in 2017 with the first expedition safely completed and the next cohort enrolled. We have assembled a group of Homeward Bounders to showcase the stories, science and achievements behind this important and inspirational plan to influence big decisions made globally for the future of our planet.
