Why is World Science Festival Brisbane cancelled?

COVID19 situation has impacted our partners, participants and our ability to bring the best possible programming from across the globe. We make this decision with a heavy heart but in the best interests of our visitors, staff, volunteers, suppliers and participants.

These are unprecedented times, and following recent advice from the Prime Minister on mass gatherings, Queensland Museum Network is cancelling World Science Festival Brisbane 2020 (25-29 March) and some of the remaining World Science Festival Queensland events.

  • Can I still attend the regional events?

No, World Science Festival Queensland events that are cancelled include:

    • World Science Festival Queensland in Gladstone 20-21 March
