Great minds inspire greatness. The Pioneers in Science program gives high school students – in person and online – rare access to some of the world’s most renowned scientists.
Professor Ian Frazer pioneered the development of the cervical cancer vaccine known as Gardasil. He has won many prestigious awards including the 2006 Australian of the Year, the 2005 CSIRO Eureka Prize for Leadership in Science and the Prime Minister’s Prize for Science in 2008.
This intimate gathering allows students to address some of the most important topics in science with Professor Ian Frazer, who will share his personal stories, life challenges, and career highlights, giving students a chance to imagine what their future in science might be.
Submit your questions
There is a special opportunity for students to submit questions online prior to the event. Some of these questions will then be chosen for the student to ask in person during the show. To submit questions please fill out the online form before 24 February 2017.
Submissions are open now. We will contact you via email if your question is chosen for the event on 24 March.
This event is recommended for students in Years 9 to 12.
