Calling all young inventors! We need your to help secure Brisbane’s water future. Green Heart Schools invites Brisbane’s Year 7 students to the Future BNE event on Friday 11 March 2016.
Future BNE is open to Year 7 students and is linked to the Science and Geography Australian Curriculum. Student teams will battle other Brisbane schools as they channel their best innovative ideas, critically evaluate water use and discover how science, technology and art can work to build a better future.
The challenge will be held in two sessions. The Lord Mayor and Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, renowned TV personality and science communicator, will welcome students to the program. A performance by Street Science will inspire and excite students through fun and engaging science demonstrations.
A maximum number of 40 school teams will be able to participate in the challenge over the two sessions, and schools are invited to nominate a team of 10 Year 7 students.
Session 1 will run from 9.30am – 12pm
