Art and science have long been held to be separate disciplines. A closer examination, however, reveals significant connections between the two. In fact, the goals and motivations of art and science are essentially equivalent. Both attempt to make sense of the world around us, although the methods used to communicate and describe this vision may differ. And both are used to create order and predictability. Whether it’s painting plant cells as viewed under a microscope, exploring the impact of chemical mordants on plant dyes or using leaf vein patterns to create filigree leaf art, there is something in this display that will appeal to your inner artist and scientist.
