DJ BLACK AMEX plays a groove-driven mix of disco, funk, house and rare remixes and edits. An avid vinyl collector and freewheeling selector, BLACK AMEX started her djing at private parties and warehouses across Brisbane, spinning B-sides of melodic funk and disco 12’ vinyl tracks. Since this point, BLACK AMEX has held down various residencies at clubs and bars across Brisbane.
Focused on keeping dancefloors moving, grooving and yet continuing to surprise with remixes and edits. DJ BLACK AMEX has performed at club nights, brand launches and festivals across Australia, including LANEWAY, Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and a Festival called Panama to mention a few.
From her Freewheelin’ vinyl days, she has adapted to playing digital mixes limitless in genre, weaving the familiar with the new. Never playing the same set twice, DJ BLACK AMEX always looks to bring any crowd on a journey of vibe and groove.
