In partnership with Curiocity Brisbane, WSFB invited Queensland primary and secondary schools to submit ideas for the inaugural Queensland Schools Challenge.
The best six ideas – three from primary schools and three from secondary schools, will make and display their Curiocities at Curiocity Brisbane 2021.
Curiocities are interactive digital and physical installations that demonstrate the intersection of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) and the arts. They are fun and engaging works that will make Brisbane a playable city for locals and visitors to touch, see, hear, learn and wonder.
The brief
Schools, classes or individual students were asked to come up with an idea for an installation that they could build – the installation could be physical or digital.
Curiocities must explore the intersection between science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and the arts. Entries have now closed, the successful entrants have been notified. Curiocities will be on display from 12 – 28 March 2021, at various locations throughout the Cultural Precinct.
