Whether it’s a robot that delivers groceries to the elderly, or a bin that gives you a round of applause when you put rubbish in it, this fun and interactive workshop show students how they can make a difference in their community in some fun and creative ways.
This program addresses key curriculum, including Year 7 (ACSHE119, ACSHE120, ACSHE121), Year 8 (ACSHE134, ACSHE226, ACSHE135, ACSHE136), Year 9 (ACSHE157, ACSHE160, ACSHE228), Year 10 (ACSHE191, ACSHE194, ACSHE230).

In this activity, students create biodegradable and edible water ‘bottles’ made from brown algae. There are six parts to this activity, which include: preparing materials; the edible water ‘bottle’ experiment; elements, compounds and mixtures; ions and chemical reactions; design evaluation; and, future solutions.
Fold, cut, roll and join! How will you change cardboard to make a mini chair? Be a designer and create a simple prototype using a range of different repurposed materials.
