Climate Solutions: Interventions and Adaptations (2020)

SLQ Auditorium 1, State Library of Queensland

Summary

As climate predictions from just 1 degree of global warming become catastrophic reality on the nightly news, how can governments, business and communities act more quickly to stay within international targets.

We know from 40 years of scientific rigour that both fossil fuels and forests need to stay in the ground if we are to adequately curb emissions. We also need to accelerate the uptake of clean energy sources and improve land management to avoid considering riskier climate interventions. Join our experts to hear what climate action solutions are on the table, and how they can be achieved.

Climate Solutions: Interventions and Adaptations is presented with Academic Partner Griffith University.
