Tim Wellsmore

Tim Wellsmore is Global Director of Threat Intelligence, and is responsible for driving FireEye’s intelligence mandate by aligning capabilities and developing strong intelligence and consulting partnerships.

Wellsmore has over 20 years experience in cyber threat intelligence, technical data collection and computer forensics, with leadership roles focused on cyber security threats and threat intelligence collection to protect Australia’s national interest across both Australian and international intelligence and law enforcement communities.

Wellsmore founded the cyber threat intelligence capability for Australia’s national criminal intelligence agency within the Australian Cyber Security Centre, and the Cyber Security Operations Centre. He also founded, and led the Australian Crime Commission’s (ACC) technical intelligence collection teams, including the team that developed Australia’s first classified cybercrime threat report that critically influenced Australia’s new Cyber Security Strategy.

He holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science with honours.
