Sarah Kachovich

Sarah Kachovich is a global researcher in radolarian micro-palaeontology and a PhD candidate at the University of Queensland, where she completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours). She uses radiolarian biostratigraphy to understand the duration of continental collision with respect to the Earth’s surface and subsurface responses now and throughout history. Sarah’s research has taken her across the Himalayas, through the Gobi desert, up to Turkey and over to Newfoundland and the United States. Sarah also explores new technologies, including 3-D X-ray micro-computed tomographic techniques to observe the early Palaeozoic radiolarians evolution to improve their phylogenetic and taxonomic relationships.
