Neuroscientist

Nicholas Price

Nicholas Price became a neuroscientist after years spent failing to run away to the circus. Following undergraduate training in physiology and electronic engineering, he worked as a neuroscientist at Harvard Medical School, before joining Monash University. As a Senior Lecturer, he enjoys two roles. First, he teaches science and medical students about the mysteries of brain function. Second, he leads a laboratory of passionate scientists who are trying to understand how the billions of neurons in our brain are responsible for our thoughts and actions. In particular, he studies how the electrical activity within individual neurons underlies our conscious visual perception of the world.
