Matthew Piper

Matthew Piper received a PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2000 for his work on yeast metabolism. He then moved to the Technical University of Delft in Holland to work on yeast fermentation technology. Following this, he moved to University College London to start working on how nutrition affects ageing, using the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. In 2016, Matt received an ARC Future Fellowship to move to Monash University where his lab is continuing to focus on the genetic basis of how nutrition affects health and ageing.
