Kirsty Wright

Kirsty is a Forensic Biologist who has worked in Major Crime and specialises in missing persons and Disaster Victim Identification (DVI). She has worked on numerous DVI operations in Australia and overseas including the 2002 Bali Bombings operation and was DNA Team Leader for the Thai Tsunami Victim Identification Centre in Phuket with the Australian Federal Police DVI Team.

Kirsty led the expansion of the National Criminal Investigation DNA Database (NCIDD) in 2007. She is also an Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force working in remote jungle locations and historical battle fields to assist in identification of missing Australian soldiers from WWI&II. She was included in the Courier Mail’s Top 50 Best and Brightest of Queensland in 2012 and Australia’s 100 Women of Influence in 2013, where she was a finalist for the Global Influence category. She was also amongst the 2015 Who’s Who of Australian Women.
