Kelly Fielding

Kelly Fielding is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication and Arts at The University of Queensland. She is a social and environmental psychologist whose research focuses on two interlinked themes: understanding environmental attitudes and behaviour and using this understanding to develop effective communication and behaviour change programs to engage people with environmental issues.

A key focus of her research is on sustainable urban water management, specifically, addressing how we can communicate about new water technologies such as recycled water, how we can promote water conservation, and how we can understand and communicate about drinking water supplies. Dr Fielding has led a range of interdisciplinary cross-institutional research teams, has been a visiting scientist at CSIRO, and has worked closely with industry partners including local and state government agencies.
