EcoTones

The EcoTones—ESP Community Choir formed in early 2013, has members from the various science agencies at the Ecosciences Precinct, Dutton Park. Representing chemistry, entomology, soil, natural resources, water, ecology, climate, GIS, information management and more, the EcoTones sing full coral works arranged and conducted by Michael O’Loughlin from the Chemistry Centre.

With time only for one practice a week in their lunchtime the EcoTones manage to perform pop up concerts for colleagues throughout the year, including for National Science Week, ANZAC Day and carolling at Christmas.

The agencies at the Ecosciences Precinct (including Dept of Science, IT and Innovation, CSIRO and the Dept of Agriculture and Fisheries) focus on improving what we know about our natural resources and environment, and ways to improve their management and sustainable use.
