Dylan O'Donnell

A computer science postgrad and astrophotographer from Byron Bay, Australia, Dylan O’Donnell is a prolific advocate for science, dark skies and the promotion of space-related activities in Australia. His work is regularly published and well regarded by NASA, ESA and mainstream media and his passion for astronomy is infectious.

As a member of Team Celestron, he runs the easternmost observatory in Australia and runs science outreach for the general public at no cost, donating his time to schools and companies in the hope of improving Australia’s relationship with the cosmos. He also founded and runs the Byron Bay “Star Stuff” Festival of the Cosmos, bringing space scientists and photographers together under the Milky Way for a deep dive into current research and developments for space related topics.
