Come and join the fight against the scary, hairy superbugs! QUT’s finest microbiologists will showcase their exciting micro-world and how they are tackling the growing problem of superbugs, which kill around 700,000 people each year.
Apprentices will explore the complex weapon systems used by superbugs and the various methods scientists use to disarm and inhibit the growth of these potentially deadly microorganisms – leading the way to novel types of antimicrobials that are urgently needed to treat and prevent infections.
Please note: participants must be aged 15 and over and covered footwear is essential.
